From the Lowest to the Hightest

What a week it has been, I experienced God letting my heart break the way that his has broke.  Having to trust in our host that they knew the Haiti culture best, did not prepare me for having to turn away from a father with a baby and son in need, as they ask for help.  One of our wonderful helpers explained to the people asking that we were here to help Haitians.  But of course all I knew was what that the father was asking us to help.  The blessing and praise to God from this was as I cried, we all prayed together.  The next day did not start well, and most of the day was a struggle.  But yesterday was an absolutely amazing day!!!!  We taught our women to sew their coin purses, how amazing is that?  All of our hopes and dreams for this trip materialized.  One of the first bits of advise we received from our hosts were that if we could teach one woman to sew well, she would be ecstatic.  At this time we have SIX successful sewers in the treadle room (which were already experienced in some form of sewing).  In the electric sewing room we have two who are ready to produce coin bags, which is absolutely amazing because they came with no experience at all.  Can you believe it?  EIGHT sewers...Thank you God for this blessing.
Then to top off this amazing day we had an awesome evening of sharing amoung us during our bible study and we finished the evening with Banagrams. (Arda won with Lait - we just decided to look the other way LOL)
Thank you so much First. Pres. for allowing me to be a part of this journey, I can't wait to share more with you when we get home.
